Netflix India and Dharmatic release the trailer of 'Guilty'

Directed by Ruchi Narain, Guilty stars Kiara Advani, Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, Taher Shabbir, Gurfateh Pirzada and others. The film will release on Netflix India on March 6, 2020.

In a recently held event, Netflix announced its next film, Guilty starring Kiara Advani in the lead role. This will be the first film from Karan Johar's Dharmatic Productions and the first-ever collaboration with Netflix India. Present at the event were Karan Johar, Ruchi Narain, Atika Chouhan, Kiara Advani, Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, Taher Shabbir, Gurfateh Pirzada and others. 

Guilty is one of the many films which Netflix had announced long back and after a long wait, the team has released the trailer. The film will release on March 6, 2020, on Netflix.

The film revolves around Nanki, a young college student, a musician, who is at the high of her life as a millennial. She loves her life with her 'tribe' -  a group of friends who are part of the band which also includes her boyfriend VJ. But, on one unfortunate day, VJ gets accused of raping Tanu Kumar, at a concert. What unfolds then is the story between Nanki and her group of friends, where their relationship is tested. 

Guilty talks about several aspects like emotional and mental stress, sexual consent, and a lot more. This will be Kiara Advani's second film on Netflix. Earlier, she gained popularity with an anthology named Lust Stories, where she was cast opposite Vicky Kaushal. 

Karan Johar took to Twitter to share the trailer, with a message that read, "The truth bears many faces. Guilty premieres March 6, only on @NetflixIndia. #GuiltyOnNetflix"

The film is written by Kanika Dhillon and Atika Chouhan and directed by Ruchi Narain who has associated for films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Calcutta Mail, and others.
