The first round of the Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) course ended on July 15. Of the students who got admission for this first round, 48,835 students, or 59.67 percent, have secured admission. This year, the number of students taking admission in the first round has also increased compared to last year.

The Department of Technical Education announced the first merit list for admission to polytechnic colleges in the state on July 12. Accordingly, 81,830 students were announced for the first round of 1,20,574 seats in 404 polytechnic colleges in the state. 

These students were expected to take admission in the college in person between July 13 and 15. Accordingly, 48,835 students took admission. Out of these, 39,296 students got their first choice college.

Compared to last year, the number of students who secured admission in the first round has increased this year. Last year, 39,731 students took admission in the first round of polytechnics. This year, there has been an increase of 9,104 students.

The second round of admissions for polytechnic courses is starting from July 17. Students have to register their preference through their login from July 17 to 19.

After that, the selection list for the second round will be announced on July 21. After that, the students who have been declared a place in this list will have to go to the college in person between July 22 and July 24 to take admission.
