The Maharashtra education department has extended the deadline for the FYJC (Grade 11) till October 21, highlighted reports. On Monday, all seven rounds of the first-cum-first served (FCFS) process were finished. Post the completion of the three usual rounds, a special round as well as the seven rounds of FCFS, 41,400 seats have continued to remain empty in areas such as Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. To date, an aggregate of 71,925 pupils has been registered in 317 colleges in Maharashtra’s Pune.

Based on the circular proclaimed by the department, the FCFS round has been prolonged till 6 pm, October 21. Those students who haven’t registered for the admission process yet can do so. In addition to this, those having an ATKT as well as those with a passing percentage in Grade 10 (SSC) can also register for admission.

Based on the report by the Hindustan Times, the director of the secondary and higher secondary education department, Dattatray Jagtap, elaborated that there exist those pupils who either want to cancel their admission or those who haven’t finished their admission process owing to multiple reasons. Adding that due to these reasons, the decision was undertaken to prolong the admission duration till October 21. Moreover, those who have passed under the ATKT session with a subject left can also take admissions.
