The application registration process for engineering and MBA courses, which was started by the State Common Admission Test (CET Test) on June 28, has been extended till July 11. Also, the provisional merit list will be announced on July 15 instead of July 12. The final merit list for both these courses will be announced on July 21. 

The CET for engineering courses was conducted from April 9 to 17. 4 lakh 22 thousand 663 students appeared for this exam. While the entrance exam for MBA courses was conducted in six sessions from April 1 to 3. 1 lakh 57 thousand 281 students from across the state had applied for MBA CET. Out of which 1 lakh 29 thousand 131 students appeared for the actual exam. 

The results of MBA CET were declared on May 28 and the results of Engineering CET were declared on June 16.  The CET cell had started the application registration for both these courses from June 28. The cell had also announced that the last date for registration of applications was July 8. Till this deadline, 2 lakh 27 thousand 358 students applied for engineering courses. Out of which 1 lakh 70 thousand 601 students confirmed their application by paying the fee. The number of students who applied for MBA is 59,554. The number of students who confirmed their application by paying the fee is 33,338.

Many students are still in the process of finalising their applications and registering. The CET office clarified that the deadline for admission has been extended till July 11 to avoid any academic loss for these students. The provisional list will be announced on July 15 after the application is submitted. 

Students will be able to raise objections or suggestions regarding this provisional list from July 16 to 18. The final merit list will then be announced on July 21. The CET cell also clarified that further regular rounds will be held based on this list. Its schedule will be announced on the CET cell's website.
