Kalbadevi - Niwas Shewale, an assistant teacher at Prabhadevi municipal school who won National Teacher award, was honored in the city too. This is the first time in the history of BMC, that a civic teacher has received the award from President. BMC commissioner Ajoy Mehta felicitated Niwas Shewale in the event organised for the same. Present at the event were Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Powar, Deputy Educational officer Dr. Jeevba Keluskar and few other dignitaries.
