The Education Department has reduced the Diwali vacations from 21 days to 15 days which is troubling for the teachers and students. According to the circular issued by the education department, Maharashtra state board schools will be closed from November 5 to November 20. 

However, there are many events organised by the schools during Diwali vacations and teachers are given the task to correct the semester answer sheets of the students.

The reduction in vacation days has increased the pressure on teachers regarding the same. Schools have demanded that state education board should extend the holidays till November 25.
