According to the latest reports, the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Monday, February 14 proclaimed that the semester 2 board examinations for grades 10 and 12 pupils will be conducted in the last week of April. However, the exact dates will be declared later.

Based on accounts, the educational board has asked schools to finish the pending 50 per cent of the syllabus and revision prior to holding the pre-boards. On the other hand, the education department has written to both schools and colleges that while vaccination against COVID-19 of grade 10 and 12 pupils be done on priority, consent of parents is compulsory.

Previously, there persisted confusion amongst parents on if unvaccinated pupils will be permitted to appear for the board examinations or not. It has been claimed in reports that after complaints of educational institutions allegedly intimidating students that they will not be allowed to appear for the board exams, the education department stated that pupils cannot be compelled to get inoculated.

Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting the term 2 board exams for grades 10 and 12, April 26 onwards in the offline mode at the allotted examination centres. Apart from the exams being conducted in a descriptive mode, they will also include long and short-form questions.
