The final year examinations of the Mumbai University's Institute of Distance and Open Studies (IDOL) will begin from October 3, 2020. Further, the examinations for the second year of the postgraduate course will begin from October 8, 2020.

An official announcement regarding the same was on Monday, September 14, 2020, which also stated that IDOL exams in the state will be conducted online, in a similar process as conducted for other final year students. As per the revised guidelines, the exam papers are based on the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format and students will have to attend 50 questions in an hour.

The first and second-year degree examinations will be held in November 2020, and all the exams will be held online. Meanwhile, the test will be conducted based on the study material provided by IDOL and a practice test will also be held to ensure students gain the experience of attending the exams in this format.

Examinations for students who have some subjects left from the previous sessions will start on September 25. Officials had earlier decided to evaluate students from other years, on the basis of previous examinations and internal assessments. However, this format was not possible for IDOL students, and hence the authorities have decided to conduct the exams for both first and second year students.
