The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has launched an online e-Post Graduate Diploma (ePGD) in Digital Governance aimed at working professionals seeking expertise at the intersection of technology, policy, and governance. The programme has been introduced in collaboration with edtech platform Simplilearn and is designed to equip learners with skills needed to navigate the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The two-year diploma programme will cover key areas such as data governance, artificial intelligence policy, cybersecurity, digital public infrastructure, digital platforms, and regulatory frameworks. The curriculum has been developed and will be delivered by IIT Bombay faculty through live online sessions, combining academic learning with real-world case studies from India and abroad.

According to IIT Bombay, the programme is intended for mid-career professionals, government officials, policy practitioners, technology professionals, and researchers who wish to deepen their understanding of digital governance and public policy in the digital era.

Participants who successfully complete the programme will earn an e-Post Graduate Diploma from IIT Bombay and receive IIT Bombay e-alumni status. The course also offers opportunities for campus immersion, networking, and engagement with industry experts and policymakers.

The institute said the programme aims to bridge the gap between technology, governance, and regulation while preparing professionals to lead digital transformation initiatives across government, industry, and public service ecosystems. Topics such as AI governance, data protection, cybersecurity, digital identity systems, and emerging regulatory frameworks will form a core part of the curriculum.

Admissions for the inaugural batch are now open, with the programme targeting professionals looking to build expertise in one of the fastest-growing areas of public policy and technology governance.
