The Maharashtra School Education and Sports Department on Thursday announced the first merit list for admissions to First Year Junior Colleges (FYJC) for the academic session 2026-27.
The allotment results were published at 11 am on the state’s official online admission portal, covering junior colleges in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Amravati and several other regions across Maharashtra.
Students who applied for Class 11 admissions under the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) can now access their allotment details online. Officials said candidates allotted their top-preference college must complete the admission process within the prescribed schedule. Authorities have also cautioned that students who fail to confirm admission or decline their first allotted seat could become ineligible for the subsequent admission rounds.
The admission confirmation window for the first CAP round will remain open from May 29 to June 3. Students are required to log in to the FYJC admission portal using their application credentials to download the allotment letter and verify their admission status.
Education department officials have urged students and parents to complete document verification and fee payment before the deadline to secure their allotted seats. The schedule for the next admission round is expected to be announced after the completion of the ongoing process.
