On Friday, thousands of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) students who had appeared for the HSC supplementary examinations received the results Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) declared the outcome of the 2018 exams which were held in July.
The state board declared the HSC board main examination result on May 30. Out of the 14,16,986 students that appeared for the examinations, 12,52,817 managed to pass it. This year, the pass percentage was 88.41. The girls outperformed the boys as the number of girls passing the examinations exceeded the number of boys that passed the exams.

In this year's July-August 2018 examination, 1,02,314 students applied from Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan, out of which 1,02,060 students appeared for the examination. However, only 23,140 students passed the examination, which is 22.65 per cent of the total students that appeared.
Students who have taken the supplementary exams and wish to apply for revaluation can send an application between August 27 and September 9.
