Distressed over the delay in salary, Maharashtra's Union of Secular Teachers (MUST), has written to the Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Chandrakant Patil regarding payment of salary for the month of March 2023 of teachers in Mumbai, Konkan, Nagpur, Amravati, Pune, Kolhapur etc. They have mentioned that all teachers and non-teaching staff of senior colleges in Maharashtra have not received their salary for the month of March till date. 

Dr Vijay N. Pawar, President, MUST has demanded that the salaries of all teachers and non-teaching staff of senior colleges in Maharashtra be paid immediately for the month of March and to arrange payment of their salaries on the 1st date of every month, to avoid financial and mental harassment.


While placing a demand the union has attached a reference letter from the government which states that the Joint Director and the Principal must make the salary on time and in case they fail to do so, regional assistant director (Higher Education) and concerned college principal must be held responsible.
