Mumbai University has taken a digital leap, in which the traditional method of getting a photocopy of answer sheets is now replaced with an online system. The new system was introduced in the current winter session exams. It aims to tackle the delays caused by the regular method of reevaluating answer sheets.
As per the administration, students will get their answer sheets and a link for reevaluation requests online. This service will be available within a day of the result announcement.
If a student requests a reevaluation, the concerned professor will get an online version of the answer sheet in the form of a scanned copy. This is a response to past complaints from students about the delay in reevaluation results.
Mumbai University got 17,000 requests for photocopies of answer sheets and about 90,000 requests for re-evaluations during the last two exam sessions.
Earlier, students could apply online, but the process of getting answer sheets and reevaluation was manual. The new system will allow quicker reevaluation and easy access to scanned copies of answer sheets.
