Mumbai - Mumbai High Court has issued a notice to the Bar Council of India , to explain the criteria for upper age limit for law curriculum ,within four weeks. According to fundamental rights in Indian constitution, everybody can avail of any education at any point of time ,but the Bar Council of India has set the upper age limit for the students .

In open category
course age limit
5 year LLB course 20 -years
3years LLB course 30 -years

For reserved category
5 year LLB course 22-years
3years LLB course 32-years

Against this decision students law council has filed a petition .After hearing this petition court issued this notice , but it has also made it clear that the current process of admission will be on till the court gives the final verdict after the four weeks. It has also stated that law education can not be compared to medical and engineering curriculum
