Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced new rules for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) examinations which are due soon. The new rules limit the students’ clothing and as per the rules, students will have to wear “neat” clothes. The NEET examination will be held on May 6.

Students sitting for the examination are asked to wear light-coloured clothes and are not allowed to wear full shirts, kurtas, and pyjamas. Moreover, the students cannot wear clothes with large-size buttons, badges or any material on clothes. Jeans and shoes are also out of the dress code for the examination. The students have been asked to wear sandals or slippers. 

For students who want to wear traditional clothes including the hijab, they will have to reach the examination hall one hour prior to the commencement of examination. Apart from this, students who wear traditional clothes will be inspected at the centre.

Students will not be allowed to carry calculator, compass with them and there is no facility for the students to keep their bags in the examination centres. Thus, the students won’t be allowed with any kind of sunglasses, wallet, handbag, pouch, belt, and handkerchief. 

CBSE conducts NEET every year for the students to admit them in medical colleges. Thousands of students will sit for the entrance examination all across the country in various centres. This year, CBSE has been strict with the rules to avoid any kind of cheating and it will strictly implement these rules.
