The final results of the Pre-Upper Primary (Class V) and Pre-Secondary (Class VIII) Scholarship Examinations, conducted by the Maharashtra State Examination Council, have been announced along with the merit list of scholarship holders. The overall scholarship result is 22.06 percent, with Class 5 recording a pass percentage of 23.09 and Class 8 showing 19.30 percent.
A total of 31,786 students have qualified for scholarships, including 16,693 from Class 5 and 15,093 from Class 8. The scholarship examination was held on February 9, 2025, and saw 9,44,463 students registered across Maharashtra. Of these, 5,66,368 were from Class 5 and 3,78,095 from Class 8. A total of 9,13,258 students were present for the exam—5,47,504 from Class 5 and 3,65,754 from Class 8.
The interim results were declared on April 25. Following this, schools were invited to submit online applications for merit verification until May 4. After processing the received applications, the council published the final results and the merit list. According to the final data, 1,30,846 students of Class 5 and 70,571 students of Class 8 passed the examination.

Students qualifying for the Class 5 scholarship will receive ₹5,000 annually for the next three years, while those qualifying in Class 8 will receive ₹7,500 annually for the next two years.
