A high level academic delegation from the 205- year old Saint Louis University, Missouri, USA led by Associate Provost Eric Armbrecht met Maharashtra Governor and Chancellor of universities Ramesh Bais at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Tue, July 11.

 

The delegation is in India to explore collaboration opportunities with the University of Mumbai and other universities in Maharashtra. The delegation told the Governor that the University will work in the areas of giving hands down practical experience and learning essential skills such as Communications and Collaborations, Leadership, Critical Thinking and Creative Thinking.

He said that St. Louis University's academic campuses are located in Missouri in the US and Madrid in Spain and teachers from India will be sent there for training or teachers there will be sent for training in India.


He informed that St. Louis University imparts the skills of mass communication and collaboration, leadership, creative thinking and critical thinking and also engages students in educational programs through virtual internships, workshops and competitions. Informing that there are a total 26 universities including six group universities in Maharashtra and more than three lakh students are pursuing higher education, the Governor expressed the hope that St. Louis University will provide world class education at an affordable cost to the students.

Welcoming the delegation, the Governor expressed the hope that the St. Louis University will work closely with universities in Maharashtra to Skill, Reskill and Upskill youths. Associate Vice President of Global Engagement Dr. Luchain Lee, Advisor Sundar Kumarswami and Director of Global Initiatives Anushika Jain were among those present.
