Thane: 23 illegal secondary schools closed; Case registered for illegally running schools

The education department of Zilla Parishad launched a campaign against illegal secondary schools in the district in the month of April and issued notices to them to search for such schools and close them down. After these notices, 23 out of 24 schools in the district have been closed. However, one school was being run illegally. Due to this, a case has been registered in the police station against this school. Secondary schools are run illegally in various parts of Thane district. Students are cheated by admitting these schools without any accreditation. Such complaints have been continuously coming forward for the last few years.

This year, the Thane Zilla Parishad Education Department launched a campaign against illegal secondary schools in April. It conducted a survey of the schools running in the district and found out the secondary schools running illegally. In this, it was revealed that a total of 24 secondary schools are running illegally in the district. The Zilla Parishad Secondary Education Department issued notices to these schools and asked them to close the schools. According to this, 23 schools have been closed by the management of the institution and the guarantee letter has been given by the management of the institution. The education department has done the job of giving admission to the students of this school in other schools.

Officials of the concerned institutes have submitted an undertaking regarding the closure of 23 illegal secondary schools in Thane district. These include Star English High School in Diva, Divine Grace High School in Vajreshwari area of Bhiwandi, RN English School in Kongaon, Faran English Medium School in Bhiwandi Gauripada, Aaram English School in Diva, New Gurukul Convent School, Green Valley Convent School, S. S. English School, RLP High School, Adarsh Gurukul School, Adarsh Gurukul School, Adarsh Gurukul School, SRP English School, Om Sai English School, Symbiosis School, Public English School, Arya Gurukul English School, Sriram Krishna English School, Bharat English School, Shree Vidyajyoti English School, Cambridge English School, Smart Education English School, JD English School in Mumbra. However, Al Munihaj Secondary High School at Belapur in Navi Mumbai is still running illegally.
