The online application process for the 25% reserved seats under the Right to Education (RTE) Act 2009 will begin on February 17, 2026, for the academic year 2026-27. As per Section 12(C)(1) of the RTE Act, 2009, children from disadvantaged and weaker sections are entitled to 25% reservation in self-financed schools, unaided schools, police welfare schools (unaided), and municipal corporation schools (self-financed) for admission to Class 1.
Parents can submit applications online from February 17, 2026, to March 10, 2026 via the official portal: https://student.maharashtra.gov.in/adm_portal. Guidance and instructions for filling the application are available on the RTE 25% admission portal.
