Recently, Suriya and Jyothika have reportedly bought a lavish home in Mumbai for INR 70 crores. As per the reports, the actor and his family are planning to permanently move to Mumbai from Chennai. However, both the actors have not been confirmed yet.

As per the IndiaGlitz report, Suriya has bought a 9,000-square feet lavish bungalow in a gated community in Mumbai which also houses several prominent Bollywood celebs and politicians. As per the report, the house has been bought to serve as a ‘guest house’ for his parents and to celebrate family functions.

In another part of Mumbai Suriya had earlier bought a smaller house reportedly planning to move there to aid his daughter Diya’s higher education. Suriya and Jyothika got married in 2006 and have two kids – Diya (15), and Dev (12). They have named their production house, 2D Entertainment, after their children.

After quitting acting in 2009, Jyothika made a comeback in 2015 and now continues to act in Tamil films intermittently. Suriya, on the other hand, is one of the leading names in Kollywood.

With his first Hindi production, Suriya is making a remake of his National Award-winning Tamil hit Soorarai Pottru in which Akshay Kumar will be playing the lead role in the Hindi film. Suriya won his first National Award for Best Actor for the same film. The actor will also be seen in a cameo in the remake. As per the reports, he will also soon finalise a Hindi film where he plays lead.
