Mumbai - Organisers Percept have confirmed that French DJ David Guetta's Mumbai concert is happening on schedule on Friday night at Reliance Jio Garden in BKC.
The BMC had earlier declined permission to the organisers to hold the event at Mahalaxmi Racecourse, even though Percept had already started selling tickets for the show through Bookmyshow. Percept announced on Thursday that the venue had been shifted to the Reliance Jio Garden. However, civic permissions were not in place till late Thursday night. On Friday morning, however, Percept announced that the Mumbai concert has not been cancelled, despite rumours doing the rounds. The organisers have said that the show is happening on schedule and that they have all necessary permissions to do the concert at Jio Garden.
The 49 year old Guetta was supposed to perform in Bengaluru on Thursday, but the event was callled off last minute, since requisite permissions were not in place. Guetta is in India on a four city tour - the 'David Guetta Unity Tour Jan 2017', which is supposed to raise funds for underprivileged children in the country. Bengaluru was supposed to be Guetta’s first stop on his four-city tour. He is slated to perform in Mumbai this evening, in Hyderabad on Saturday and in Delhi on Sunday. In Hyderabad, he will perform at the Hitex Exhibition Centre, while the Delhi venue is the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.
