Bollywood music director Wajid Khan passes away

Popular music composer Wajid Khan, of the Sajid-Wajid duo, passed away in Mumbai. Reports state that he was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai on May 31, 2020. Some reports also state that he was suffering from coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.

Bollywood music composer Wajid Khan, of the Sajid-Wajid duo, passed away in Mumbai at the age of 43. Reports state that he was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai on Sunday, May 31, 2020. Some also state that he was suffering from Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection was undergoing treatment at a hospital. For some years now, Wajid was suffering from Kidney ailment.


Singer Sonu Nigam took to Facebook to share the message, which read, "My Brother Wajid left us."

Several others took to social media to share their condolences. Ace composer Salim Merchant wrote, "Devastated with the news of the passing away of my brother Wajid of Sajid -Wajid fame. May Allah give strength to the family. Safe travels bro @wajidkhan7you’ve gone too soon. It’s a huge loss to our fraternity. I’m shocked & broken. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un"

Singer Harshdeep Kaur wrote, "Extremely sad to hear about @wajidkhan7 ji... Gone too soon!! May god bless his soul."  

Film distributor Raj Bansal wrote, "Sad News: Noted music composer Wajid Khan of Sajid-Wajid passed away a short while back. He was suffering from COVID 19. RIP"

Sajid–Wajid began their career in music with Salman Khan's Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya in 1998 and then collaborated with Sonu Nigam's album Deewaana which was a superhit album back then. Together, the siblings have given many popular hits in Bollywood.

Recently, they released Salman Khan's songs during the lockdown, which also garnered impressive views on YouTube and appreciation from fans.
