69th National Film Awards: President Murmu felicitates Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, Allu Arjun, Karan Johar

The 69th National Film Awards were presented by President Draupadi Murmu on October 17, 2023. The film 'Ekda Kay Jaala' was awarded the Best Marathi Film Award. 'The Kashmir Files' also won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration, while the Marathi film 'Three to One' won the National Award for Best Film on Social Issues.


The 69th National Film Awards distribution program was organised at Vigyan Bhawan. On this occasion, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur, Union Minister of State Dr. L. Murugan, Information and Broadcasting Department Secretary Apoorva Chandra and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee were present on the stage. 


The film 'Ekda Kay Jaala' was awarded the Best Marathi Film Award. Along with this, Marathi films 'Godavari', 'Three to One', 'Rekha' were also honoured in various categories. Awards were presented in 32 different categories in feature films, while awards were presented in 24 different categories in non-feature films.

Best movie in Hindi 'Sardar Udham'

The best Hindi film was 'Sardar Udham'. At the 69th National Film Awards, the film 'Sardar Udham' won National Awards in the categories of Best Hindi Film, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Designer, Best Production Design and Best Audiography: Re-Recording. The National Award for Best Actor was given to Allu Arjun for the Telugu film 'Pushpa'.


On this occasion, two actresses were given the Best Actress award. Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress award for 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', while Kriti Sanon won the Best Actress award for 'Mimi'. The Best Supporting Actor award was given to Pankaj Tripathi for the Hindi film 'Mimi' and the Best Supporting Actress award was given to Pallavi Joshi for the film 'The Kashmir Files'.


The Best Feature Film award was given to 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect', a film based on a space scientist. So the film Sher Shah was honoured with the Special Jury Award. The award in the overall entertainment category was given to Telugu film 'RRR'.

Ekda Kaay Jhaala - Best Marathi Film Award

The best films of regional languages were honoured in the program. In this, the film 'Ekda Kay Jaala' was awarded the Best Film Award for Marathi Language and Rajat Kamal Award. The film depicts a very beautiful and touching journey of a father-son relationship. The film's director Salil Kulkarni accepted the award. The award is in the form of a Silver Lotus and a cash prize of INR 1 lakh.
