Colors’ popular thriller show Dev 2 is back with Season 2. The fictional TV show will follow the journey of Dev, an investigator with a past, and he is challenged with piecing together the biggest mystery of his own life. Versatile actor Ashish Chowdhry, who essays the character of Dev Anand Burman says that he loves this character and he is living it!

In an interactive session with Mumbai Live, talking about Season 2, Ashish mentions, “I respect Colors for being experimental to work on a show like this and special thanks to all the viewers for loving it. This a very busy show, difficult to shoot, it's very different from a romantic or a family drama show. Here it’s all about investment right from the producers to the actors. Furthermore, we have got a lot of comfort from the channel’s side. We don’t need to bother about TRP, this is something we are doing for changing the likes of television and for creating innovative content. I would say this season’s USP is that this a daily show and we all know that the daily audience is wider than the weekend."

We remember Ashish for his perfect comic timing in movies like Dhamaal, Paying Guests, Double Dhamaal, Daddy Cool and many more. However, the actor says that the show ‘Dev’ has helped him change his own perception. He never thought that he will get out of his comfort zone which is comedy. “Dev has actually taught me how to take risks. It was a very risky show for me to take up, especially because I left Ek Mutthi Aasman when it was right at its peak and then I was not convinced for doing dailies as I was not creatively happy and that was a risk itself. Later, I did a reality show which really worked for me but I can’t keep doing reality shows. Life has just taught me one thing; you learn more from your failures than you learn from your success. I have realised that I don’t care about failure, in fact, better if it comes along, it will only teach me. Hence, I took up the show and I know that I’ll work hard on Dev and invest my time in it, the same way the channel is investing in me. Nevertheless, I am sure that post-Dev, I’ll take up something else", avers Ashish.

Produced by Peninsula Pictures Pvt. Ltd. and IMRC entertainment, Dev 2 also features Jigyasa Singh, Pooja Bannerjee, Amit Dolawat and Joyshree Arora. The show will premiere on June 25 from Monday to Thursday at 10:30 pm.
