Hotstar, Star India's OTT platform, has pulled down the controversial episode of Koffee With Karan, starring Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul. This move comes at the back of a controversial stir criticising the players for making misogynistic statements and acting irresponsibly on national television.

Taking to Twitter, Pandya had, on Wednesday, said, "After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone's sentiments. Respect."

After Pandya's statement, BCCI issued a show cause notice to him and Rahul, and later, on Thursday, Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) Chairman Vinod Rai suggested a two-ODI ban for the Indian players.

On the show, Pandya boasted of having hooked up with multiple women and spoke about how open he has been about it with his parents. He also said his family was “cool” with his sexual activities.

When asked why he didn't ask women their names at nightclubs, Pandya responded by saying, "I like to watch and observe how they (women) move. I'm little from the black side so I need to see how they move."  After the show aired, social media was taken aback with the comments from someone representing the country on an international level and the comments coming from Hardik Pandya were definitely cringe-worthy. KL Rahul has just been caught in the crossfire but his bromance with Pandya is surely going to cost him some brownie points with the people of India.

Pandya is currently with the Indian team in Australia where it recently recorded a historic maiden Test series win.
