In the next 37 days, the Bielieber fans in India are going to have the ‘moment of their lives’. Global music sensation Justin Bieber announced his Purpose India tour recently and ever since then, the anticipation has been high up in the air. The famous ‘Purpose World Tour’ is slated to take place on 10th May at Mumbai’s popular D Y Patil stadium. The tour which started in Seattle on 9 March 2016, will end on 6 September 2017 at Toronto.

This tour is in support of his fourth studio album Purpose which was released in 2015. The album has sold over 8 million copies worldwide making him the most successful pop stars in the world today. Bieber announced the tour on The Ellen DeGeneres Show - one of the most watched shows globally.

Owing to his popularity, Bieber fans have ‘as-expected’ responded extremely well to the show and has impressed fans and critics across the United States, Canada, Japan and many other countries.
In 2017, the team is expected to tour throughout the Europe, Australia, India and New Zealand. The young sensation is expected performing blockbuster hits like “Where Are Ace Now”, “Boyfriend”, “Love Yourself”, “Company’ and many more.

Recently, another popular band, Coldplay performed in India for the very first time at the Global Citizen Fest and many Bollywood celebrities also added their desi tadka to the show. When it comes to India, Bollywood is known to appeal the masses and we (sadly) also expect the BTown biggies to add their (already seen) moves.

If rumours are to be believed and if blessings shower on Mumbaikars, the fans will also be able to dance to Zayn Malik’s tunes at the Bieber concert. Talking about our own superstars, the recent actor turned singer, Sonakshi Sinha, also expressed her excitement of performing at the concert.
“I am really fond of Justin Bieber’s music and I love how his sound has evolved over the years and today he reaches out to a universal fan base. I’m definitely looking forward to this event,” said Sonakshi Sinha.

Bieber will certainly be shown around our beloved city and it is none other than the Sri Lankan import, Jacqueline Fernandez, who will play the host. If the circulating information is to be believed, Jacqueline will be showing him around the Gateway of India, Isckon Temple, Colaba Causeway and other popular hotspots.

Others in the performance list include the SOTY trio – Varun, Sid and Alia, who may also been seen on the stage.
We reported in February about the cost of the tickets. Media reports suggest that while the starting price of the tickets has been pegged at Rs 4000, they have also been bought for as high as Rs. 76,000. If you have missed out booking in the Phase 1, you can book in the second phase which will begin post 10 April.

Also, here is an interesting plug in for the fans. The organiser company White Fox India is giving a chance where the fans can shoot and post a video of them performing Bieber’s song from the Purpose album and winners might get to be part of this highly spoken about the concert.
