Big news coming in for all the filmmakers and production houses, the state government has decided to set up a single window system to provide all the permissions required for the shooting of movies, advertisements, music albums and corporate films. It had also decided to provide all the permissions within 15 working days.
For now, the facility is available only for Mumbai.
On Tuesday, the decision was taken in the state cabinet as there were many complaints registered regarding the delay in securing permissions from various government departments due to which there was a delay in the filmmaking process.
Moreover, The Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation Limited (MFSCDCL) has set up a website called www.maharashtrafilmcell.com where one can fill up online application for obtaining permissions. MFSCDCL has linked 14 various government departments to provide the required permissions.
