MAMI 2019: Geetu Mohandas’ Moothon to open the 21st edition of Mumbai Film Festival

Starring Nivin Pauly, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Shashank Arora; Moothon is a story of a boy searching for his elder brother. The team of Jio MAMI 21st Mumbai Film Festival took to social media to announce the same.

The dates of one of the most popular film events of India, Mumbai Film Festival, are nearing, and fans are excited to know this year's line up of films. The eminent team of Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) plans the festival every year, with an aim to bring popular films from different parts of the world to the audience in India. 

This year, the team actively updated the fans about their activities planned for the festival, but are yet to make the official announcement regarding the same. The Jio MAMI 21st Mumbai Film Festival with Star will be held from October 17-24, 2019, and as per the recent announcement, this festival this year will be opened with Geeta Mohandas' upcoming bilingual film, Moothon.

The film stars Nivin Pauly in the lead role. Other eminent actors like Sobhita Dhulipala, Shashank Arora, are a part of Moothan with pivotal roles. The film is written and directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by JAR Pictures and Good Bad films.

Moothon is a story of a boy searching for his elder brother, and the teaser of the film was released recently on YouTube and has garnered an impressive reaction from the fans. This film will mark Geetu's debut film in Malayalam and Nivin's debut in Hindi cinema.
