Over the last few years, Bollywood composers through many seasons of MTV Unplugged, have given us songs which shall remain with us forever, and the show is back with its next season.
Perfection only needs a stage and Royal Stag Barrel Select MTV Unplugged Season 7 aims to be the perfect stage to feature India’s musical perfection. The show is here to give us an insight into the musical talents of maestros like Vishal Bharadwaj, Shankar Mahadevan, Armaan Mallik, Amaal Mallik, Monali Thakur and others.
Speaking about the same, Raj Nayak, COO, Viacom18 said, “Since the time of its inception, MTV has created a differentiated positioning for itself. It is the ultimate authority on music and everything youth related. The brand is known for creating unique music properties and Unplugged has gained a massive fan-following because of its preswntation of music in its rawest form through rich performances by an exemplary line-up of artists.”
Adding to the thought, Ferzad Palia, Head – Youth, Music and English Entertainment, Viacom18, said, “Year on year, we have been surpassing audience expectations and surprising ourselves with each new season of Unplugged. This year as well, the audience will be privy to a great line up of artists who will be transforming some of their biggest musical numbers to an unimaginable, even more intimate setting.”
The channel will be rolling out a host of 360-degree promotional activities. After garnering success from its previous seasons by ranking in an overall reach of around 130 million viewers, Royal Stag Barrel Select MTV Unplugged enures to be nothing less than the best.
The season 7 of the much anticipated show with a stellar line up of artists and mesmerising compositions will air from December 9. 2017.
