Mumbai - Bollywood's success formula is known to all and sundry. A remake of a blockbuster south film is it action, drama or romance. Ok Janu is the remake of O Kadhal Kanmani directed by Mani Ratnam in 2015.
Shaad Ali has directed OK Jaanu starring Aashiqui 2 couple. The story is about Adi (Aditya) who is a techie and wants to live his dream in America. While Tara (Shraddha) is an architect destined for Paris. They meet first time on the station. Adi, who resides with family friend Gopi uncle (Naseer), asks if Tara can stay with him in his room. Negotiations follow, but the uncle finally agrees – thanks to his wife, Charu (Leela). Adi and Tara’s impulsive infatuation is countered by Gopi uncle (Naseeruddin Shah) and Charu aunty’s (Leela Samson) golden-jubilee marriage.
Academy award Jodi of Gulzar and A R Rahman did a great job and the songs are the chartbusters. Music is the high point of the movie in certain. If you have not seen the original movie, you will surely come out of the theatre with the warm feeling.
