Police refuse permission for Guetta's Mumbai show

Police refuse permission for Guetta's Mumbai show

Mumbai - Percept's David Guetta show in Mumbai has run into fresh trouble.
The Mumbai police issued a notice this afternoon saying that the 'Sunburn programme at BKC is rejected by Mumbai Police for not completing the mandatory requirements and legal formalities'. Percept had shifted the Mumbai venue of the Guetta show from the Mahalaxmi Racecourse to BKC's Jio Garden just yesterday. Initially, the 'Sunburn Arena' event was to be organised at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, but The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) denied permission. Percept had started advertising the venue as Mahalaxmi Racecourse without seeking consent from the BMC and this led to them declining permission. The civic administration of BMC faced payment issues from another event recently held by Percept.
After Percept managed to get the requisite MMRDA and civic permissions for Jio Garden, it has now faced a roadblock in the form of the Mumbai police. Percept has been selling the tickets to the show on Bookmyshow.com for days now.
Guetta's 'Guetta 4 Good' show in Bengaluru scheduled for Thursday was also cancelled at the last minute, due to inadequate permissions.
We are waiting to hear Percept's last word on this issue.
