Royal Opera House shines again

GIrgaon-After almost 20 years, the curtains will go up at the Royal Opera House once again. The Opera House was shut down in 1993. Inaugurated by George V in 1911 , the venue hosted performances by Prithviraj Kapoor, Bal Gandharva and Dinanath Mangeshkar, among other stalwarts. After a restoration that lasted six years, Opera House will be unveiled once again on 20 October for the Jio- MAMI festival 2016.
As actor Rishi Kapoor tweeted, "Royal Opera House. So many memories attached! Dadaji's plays,chips,samosa,mangola Acted as a sleeping kid in one play.Saw films Anand,AAA."
