Actress Tanushree Dutta gave fire to the #MeToo movement in Bollywood accusing actor Nana Patekar of sexual misconduct. Going one step ahead, Dutta now has filed a complaint with State Women’s Commission against him.

The complaint demands an investigation into the allegations of harassment leveled by Dutta against Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, producer Samee Siddiqui, director Rakesh Sarang, and several Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) party workers.

Dutta’s lawyer Nitin Satpute confirmed the same adding that they will be filing a complaint with the District Office as per the Sexual Harassment Act Section 9.

In the letter, Dutta stated that she lodged a complaint about the registration of FIR under Sections 354, 354 (A), Section 34 and Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Nana Patekar on Monday denied allegations leveled against him by Dutta saying "Jo jhooth hai, woh jhooth hai (A lie is a lie)". Choreographer Ganesh Acharya too said that the incident had "never happened".

In an interview with Zoom TV, Tanushree Dutta disclosed the sexual harassment she went through, on the sets of 2008 Bollywood film 'Horn OK Please'. The actress blamed Nana Patekar and also revealed that he attacked her on the sets, further adding that everyone knew about Nana Patekar's personality and interests for the actresses on the sets of the film. Despite this, no one raised their voice against them, and none from the media wrote against them.
