Vidya Balan is back!
- Mandar Joshi
Kahaani 2 is the story of a mommy trying to protect her daughter at any cost. Best thing about the film is that there is nothing larger than life and what makes the movie must watch is the realism. A working mum from Chandan Nagar in West Bengal and her handicapped teenage daughter, who like most middle-class people overcome hurdles to go through the daily grind. The story picks up the pace when Mini goes missing and in quest of searching Mini, Vidya meets accident and goes into hospital. Enter, Indrajit (Arjun Rampal), the dashing cop, who is the first one to discover that the woman in a coma resembles Durga a school clerk from Kalimpong, who is a fugitive. Vidya has done a commendable role as mum and school clerk, Arjun rampal has done justice to plot and his role. Jugal Hansraj in cameo also did a decent job. The only let-down in Kahaani 2 is the climax. It is rather disappointing to see a thriller suddenly taking the predictable dip. Sujoy did a very good job but Kahaani 2 lacks the hooking point in comparison to Kahaani. Overall it's a good decent movie and indeed paisa vasool with dose of thrill and excitement.
