Popular biography writer Aseem Chhabra has penned down a biography on international icon Priyanka Chopra titled ‘Priyanka Chopra: The Incredible Story of A Global Bollywood Star’. The book is about her inspirational progress from a small town girl to a global star. It widely depicts cinema-related themes and provides a background to the ‘Quantico’ star’s life.
However, the actress had not collaborated with the biographer for this book. "Priyanka did not collaborate with me in writing this book. I wish that had happened and believe me, I did try, but there are things beyond my control. The things beyond control, at least one of them, have now surfaced as Chopra is herself penning her memoir, which will be published by Penguin Random House next year as ‘Unfinished’”, said Chhabra.
Aseem has quoted celebrities like Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Basu, Dia Mirza, Rohan Sippy, Prakash Jha and others. He has managed to portray the perspective, the views of these celebs who have been close to the actress and have seen her grow.
On the cover of the book filmmaker, Karan Johar quoted, "She is our hugest crossover success story”. The book gives an insight about an Indian actress who rose to fame in Hollywood, where several reputed Indian film personalities tried their luck but returned back. Nonetheless, most of the information provided is already known, there is hardly anything unique that the book presents.
