Goregaon - Dr Chinmay Bal has initiated a unique initiative called ‘Aapli Bhaji Aapla Mala’ in Aarey Colony. Under this initiative undertaken every Sunday, fresh vegetables from Nashik are sold at cheap rates to people who regularly visit Aarey Colony for their daily exercise routine. Along with this, an vermiculture project has also been taken up here. Dr Bal has appealed the people to get ‘nirmalya’ - flowers offered to deities and later disposed of in lakes - so that it can be turned into organic manure.
