The air index in Mumbai was recorded in the moderate range on Tuesday morning. Poor quality air was reported at Bandra-Kurla complex. Air quality in Mumbai was moderate on Monday. According to Sameer App, Mumbai's air index reached 137 on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, due to smog in Mumbai, there is a possibility that the concentration of pollutants in the atmosphere will increase. According to the Meteorological Department, Mumbai will experience fog on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and this is likely to affect the air quality.

Mumbai currently has fog, as well as humidity, and pollutants accumulate in the morning. According to Maharashtra Pollution Control Board records, the air index at Bandra-Kurla complex was 211 on Tuesday morning. Also it was 137 in Mazgaon, 120 in Sion, 115 in Worli, 119 in Borivali. Meanwhile, the air was recorded as moderate on Monday evening.


According to Central Pollution Control Board criteria, an air quality index of 0-50 is good, 51-100 is satisfactory, 101-200 is moderate, 201-300 is bad, 301-400 is very bad and more than 400 is considered hazardous.
