Experts predict that winters in Mumbai will begin from mid-December and the temperature this year is expected to drop to 15-16 degrees, with the lowest of 12 to 13 degrees on some days

Mumbaikars woke up to a pleasing Tuesday morning as the temperature in the city dropped making the city slightly colder than the usual during the early hours of the day. Several Mumbaikars experienced a pleasant morning and a similar temperature was witnessed in nearby cities as well.

After a long monsoon season, Mumbaikars are still waiting for the temperature to drop further. The city, in the next few months, will experience winters, and will not face the heat. However, experts have also warned season health-related issues which are caused due to the changing environment.

KS Hosalikar, head of Mumbai's Regional Meteorological Department, took to Twitter and said, "Possibilities of thunderstorms/rains in next 3, 4 hours over parts of S Konkan, S Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining of districts of Marathwada as seen from the latest satellite image."

Forecast experts state that with the withdrawal of the monsoon in the next 24 hours, the humidity in Mumbai will gradually decrease and minimum temperatures will also reduce to 22-23 degrees. Data states that so far from June 1, 2020, Mumbai Santacruz Observatory has received 3856 mm rainfall making it the highest yearly rainfall recorded ever in the history.
