According to the latest reports, on Thursday, June 16, morning, Mumbai experienced light to moderate rainfall across considerable parts of the city that entailed south Mumbai, DadarBandra and the suburbs. 

Since the onset of the monsoon on June 11, moderate rains were seen for three days. After which, the pace of the monsoon has slightly reduced. 

Based on accounts, for the past three days, rains have been minimal over the city. This is likely to be the case till June 17, wherein rainfall activity will be light and patchy, predictions state. 

It has been reported, however, that from June 18 onwards, rains will pick up to a certain extent and become intense on June 19 and thereafter. It is from June 20 that Mumbai rains could be earnest which could cause a certain amount of waterlogging amongst other hindrances.

Narratives suggest that these rains will transpire owing to a cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal and as the system moves inland it could cause a confluence zone that will move towards the West Coast.

On the other hand, the weather forecast for Thursday predicts a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius with a minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. Similarly, light to moderate rainfall could transpire intermittently through various parts of Mumbai. 

Similarly, Mumbai on Thursday reportedly registered an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 46 which is believed to be "Fair". This AQI is usually acceptable for considerable people.
