During this monsoon, about 52 days are of high tide. In case of heavy rainfall during this period, there is a possibility of water accumulation in the low-lying areas. In that regard, the municipal system will be kept alert. The municipal administration has appealed that the citizens should also take note of these high tides.

Days of high tides greater than four meters during the monsoon are announced as part of the emergency management plan. This year, between June and September, there are about 52 days of high tide, said Deputy Commissioner (Disaster Management Department) G. G. Godepure.

13 days in the month of June, 14 days in the month of July, 14 days in the month of August, and 11 days in the month of September will be high tides. Maharashtra Maritime Board has published this high tide schedule. The highest wave will hit on August 3 at 3:00 pm and the height of these waves will be 4.60 meters.


The Emergency Department of the Municipal Corporation has appealed to the citizens to strictly follow the instructions given by the Thane Municipal Corporation from time to time in accordance with the high tide this monsoon.
