IMD Predicts Rainfall In Parts Of Maharashtra on January 6 and 7

The minimum temperature in Mumbai and Thane will be around 16-18 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Nashik and Pune will be around 14-16 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, light showers were witnessed in Thane and Mumbai on Monday morning, January 4.

The Indian Meteorological department (IMD) has predicted light showers in Konkan, Goa and Central Maharashtra on January 6 and 7. Also, the minimum temperature in Maharashtra is likely to witness a dip in the next 3 to 4 days.

For the next few days, the minimum temperature in Mumbai and Thane will be around 16-18 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Nashik and Pune will be around 14-16 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, light showers were witnessed in Thane and Mumbai on Monday, January 4, morning. As a result, Mumbai and suburbs recorded a dip in maximum temperatures on Monday. The Colaba station of IMD recorded a maximum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. Santacruz station too recorded a maximum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. However, the city is likely to have a partly cloudy sky for the day.

Currently, steamy winds from the west are creating rainy weather in many parts of the country. It rained lightly in Delhi on Sunday morning, January 3 from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm. According to the meteorological department, Safdarjung received 6.6 mm of rainfall in Delhi, 1.5 mm in Palam, 8 mm in Lodhi Road.

The IMD has issued Orange Alert in several states of the country. Moreover, light showers and snowfall were observed in flat areas from Jammu and Kashmir. The weather in Ladakh region remained dry.

According to the meteorological department, Delhi, Palwal, Hodal (Haryana), Nadbai, Nagar, Deeg, Laxmangad, Bharatpur, Mehndipur Balaji (Rajasthan), Barsana, Nandgaon, Khatauli, Galauti and Chhapraula are expected to receive moderate to heavy rains in the next two to three days.
