Being the 47th year of the Earth Day, Metal Recycling Association of India joins in the league of other people and organisations across the world so as to celebrate the day and see what else can be done to preserve the mother planet. Started in the year 1970, the Earth day is celebrated on 22nd April. On this day people from across the world come together help think and work together towards the conservation and nurturing of the environment. And recycling forms to be one of the most crucial roles amongst them.

“Earth Day brings together all of the humanity to celebrate the planet we share. Recycling is such a vital component in the health of both the environment and the world economy. We hope generations to come continue to realise the importance of recycling to the preservation of the earth and its resources, “ stated Mr. Ikbal Nathani, President Emeritus of Metal Recycling Association of India.

Metal Recycling Association of India (MRAI) stands to be an Apex National Association, that represents the interests of India’s Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals recycling industry with over 750 members that includes Regional Metals Trade Associations. The collective strength of MRAI consists of around 10,000 small, medium and large enterprises and that are directly or indirectly employing around 17.5 lakh people.
