For the past two days, the rains have taken a break in some parts, while in some parts it has been drizzling. However, since Tuesday morning, the rain has picked up again and the Meteorological Department has predicted the possibility of heavy rain in Mumbai and Thane areas for the next three to four hours.

The rains made a heavy appearance towards the end of June, and then in early July, Mumbai and its suburbs began to experience a spell of rain. But there was heavy rain in Navi Mumbai and some surrounding areas. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted the possibility of heavy rains for Konkan, Kolhapur and other districts between July 2 and 5. Rain started in many places in the state in the last week of June. Pune, Mumbai had a stay of rain for a whole week. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that the intensity of rain will increase after July 7.


A new wave of heavy rains is likely to start from July 2 and is predicted to affect parts of South India. Also, there is a possibility that it will be affected on July 4 and 5 in the state as well. Senior Meteorologist Krishnanand Hosalikar predicted the same on Twitter.
