After cyclone Ockhi, the city witnessed a smog on Saturday morning. The thick smog disrupted the Central Line services leading to the delay in trains.
On Saturday morning, passengers got down on tracks and started protesting when CSTM-bound train did not come at Vasind station.
They got off the tracks after police intervened at around 8:25 am, first CSTM-bound local was started from Vasind.
Due to the smog, locals on CR are running late by for 40-50 minutes and locals on Western Line are running late by 15-20 minutes. Virar to Borivali local is also running late leading to the rush on railway stations.
Delhi has been in the limelight for being the most polluted city around and the smog levels are a big reason to worry. Today, the dense blanket of smog in Mumbai feels the same. Let's not confuse this with mist or fog, there's no reason to be happy about the weather as this is SMOG and it's not good for your health.
