Mumbai: Temperature Continues To Remain Below Normal

On Friday, January 14, cold-like conditions continued to prevail in Mumbai with minimum and maximum temperatures being below normal, reports stated. Based on the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast for the next 24 hours, the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to increase to be around 28 degrees and 18 degrees respectively.

On Thursday, January 13, the minimum temperature registered by the IMD Colaba observatory was 18 degrees Celsius that is 1.4 degrees under normal, cited accounts. On the other hand, the IMD Santacruz observatory registered a minimum temperature of 16 degrees Celsius which is 1.3 degrees under normal, mentioned reports.

Moreover, on Thursday, the maximum temperatures continued to be under 30 degrees Celsius. While the IMD Colaba registered 27.2 degrees Celsius which is three degrees under normal, the IMD Santacruz registered 28.5 degrees which is 2.4 degrees under normal, claimed accounts.

On Monday, January 10, the minimum temperature had fallen to the lowest of the season at 13.2 degrees Celsius. The lowest minimum temperature in 2021 in January was 14.8 degrees and in 2020 it was 11.4 degrees Celsius, mention narratives. However, the all-time lowest minimum temperature was recorded on January 22, 1962, at 7.4 degrees Celsius, claimed reports.
