Mumbaikars have to brace themselves for a scorching summer even though the high temperatures seen last week have come down somewhat. This summer (March to May), maximum and minimum temperatures in Mumbai are expected to be above average and the number and intensity of heat waves will also be higher.
The maximum temperature exceeded the average towards the end of the February month. Now citizens have to face heat even in the month of March. The Meteorological Department's Colaba center recorded a maximum temperature of 32.8 degrees Celsius on Sunday, while the Santa Cruz center recorded a maximum temperature of 35.1 degrees Celsius. Although there has been a slight decrease in the maximum temperature, there will be an occasional rise in it. The weather department said that the weather will be hot and humid.
Cloudy weather is also predicted at times. During this period, the temperature will be between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius. The temperature is expected to increase by the end of March. Mumbai's highest maximum temperature usually reaches 36 to 38 degrees in February. After mid-February, the temperature starts to rise. The second fortnight of February and the first few days of March continue to fluctuate in temperature.
