Madh - Civic officials of the P ward carried out a day long cleanup drive at Madh beach on Monday.
MLA Aslam Sheikh took the initiative of getting the beach cleaned up in the new year. The initiative was backed by P ward assistant commissioner Sangita Hasnale.
One JCB, one tractor and 15 workers were pressed into service to clean up the beach. This drive will be carried out on Tuesday as well by the officials of the solid waste management department of the BMC.
