The power of social media and art is known to all, but what happens when you combine both for an environmental cause? Aarey activists have started a Facebook page wherein artists depict topics like environment conservation, water conservation, the importance of wildlife etc. through their art.

It has further urged other artists to contribute to their page on the above topics. Supreme Court's interim ban is a ray of hope for Aarey activists. Notably, Aarey activists had even come up with creative concepts like 'Sleeping Protest' where they were going to sleep at Shivaji Park and protest to depict the laxity in the attitude of the authorities.
After Aditya Thackeray has been appointed as the Environment Minister in the Uddhav Thackeray led government, activists have seen it as a ray of hope as Aditya Thackeray had time and again supported the Aarey movement. Uddhav Thackeray had also stated that they will ensure that Aarey is protected after they come to power which was followed by him saying that he will ensure that no one will even touch a leaf in Aarey in first press conference as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
