Aarey activists recently released a picture which showed that the work of the ramp for Metro 3 (Colaba-Bandra-Seepz) car shed is still underway. According to an activist, the sheet piles have been laid and it is very difficult to undo that. On the condition of anonymity, one Aarey activist told Mumbai Live that if the current government has ruled out that the car shed construction work will stop then why are the electrical lines being laid?

Another activist said,
Aaditya Thackeray has stopped communicating with me after I showed my displeasure on Twitter against him for not coming on the ground to save Aarey. The delay in submitting a report, the lack of communication with citizens etc. is a clear pointer towards keeping the shed in Aarey.
Notably, a four-member committee was set up on December 11, a day after Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government took charge to find an alternative site for Metro 3 (Colaba-Bandra-Seepz) car shed. The committee submitted a report stating that they can consider Jogeshwari as an alternative along with Kanjurmarg site. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) chief Praveen Pardeshi along with committee members will be present at the next meeting wherein they will be discussing alternative sites.
