Whether it is environmental activists, citizens or celebrities, people have come out in large numbers to extend their support to conserve and protect the Aarey Forest after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC's) Tree Authority approved cutting down of 2700 trees.

Two restaurants in Bandra have found a unique way to associate with the cause. They are offered 25 per cent discount to anyone who signs the petition to save Aarey. Bhaijaanz Restaurant in Carter Road and Cafe Bandra in Pali Village are the two restaurants that are running this offer.
Notably, the Bombay High Court has directed in its recent hearing that the trees will not be cut till September 30 till the court proceedings are underway. Thousands of people along with Shraddha Kapoor had protested on the car-shed site on 3 Sundays of September. Actors like John Abraham has also extended their support.
